For over 30 years Beverly has been at the forefront of a transformational approach to Māori health in Kahungunu, of which she has played major roles in building cultural innovation, contributing to Māori maternal and infant health approaches including workforce development. Her public health strategies have helped address Māori vaccinations, breastfeeding and whānau ora needs in her iwi. For the last 10 years she has dedicated her research career to exploring and implementing cultural innovation in public health.
